Forbes brand launched in Australia in Q3 of 2022 and we are now looking for an exceptional Events Marketing Manager who will execute on our vision to convene, curate and cover the most prominent players within our nations business landscape.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Someone who has demonstrated the ability to grow, convert, and nurture the community of event attendees.
  • Skilled in shaping the event communications plans across the customer experience to deliver commercial outcomes across Forbes Australias products.
  • Someone who can juggle running campaigns, analysing performance, optimising, accessing new opportunities, and making sure were raising our profile, developing and progressing leads.


  • Manage and execute all aspects of the marketing plans for each event to build client pipelines as well as sales revenue mostly through digital advertising and owned channels including EDM, Website, Social Media. Secondary channels include PR, print and strategic partners.
  • Create and manage fully integrated digital marketing strategies, campaigns and promotional calendars;
  • Oversee all digital marketing channels, including websites, EDM, SEO/SEM, Social, Influencer Partnerships and Content to drive conversations, traffic and results;
  • Support the end to end go-live for an event including helping to deliver webpages, implementing ticketing processes, testing and optimisation
  • Develop and manage creative A/B testing and segmentation strategies
  • Manage the CRM and database hygiene across Forbes Events entry points
  • Monitor platform insights and marketing activity to inform and develop acquisition and retention strategies
  • Brief in and maintain promotional materials, observe and analyse trends and feedback, and communicate with past and future attendees across owned channels.
  • Ensure a seamless brand experience across all digital channels.
  • Measure and report on performance of all digital marketing campaigns and assess against goals (ROI and KPI’s) to develop strategic decisions and recommendations.
  • Develop, manage and maintain strong working relationships with strategic event partners including media outlets and associations representing our attendees / award entrants / exhibitors / sponsors


  • Qualification in marketing and relevant applicable experience
  • Strong marketing, project management and communication skills
  • Minimum 5 years progressive hands-on digital marketing and customer acquisition experience
  • Experience with EDM platforms and advanced customer nurture, acquisition and retention journey building
  • Experience with Salesforce, Google Analytics, Hubspot, Pardot, or similar tools
  • Proven ability to create innovative marketing solutions that satisfy stakeholders and meet business unit objectives
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as being self-motivated to work independently
  • Sense of urgency sufficient to recognise that the need to move quickly is an inherent facet in events
  • Ability to maintain a high level of initiative, enthusiasm and drive through the intense work peaks and troughs of a busy event program
  • Highly organised, can multi-task and set priorities to meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of the latest technology and trends within the events industry is a bonus.
